Overview

For centuries, the Bedouin people—nomads of the arid expanses—have traversed these ancient routes, their lives intricately entwined with the land. The Bedouin Roads are more than pathways; they are living arteries of trade, migration, and tradition. These trails have seen caravans laden with frankincense and myrrh, desert warriors, and explorers seeking the mysteries of lost cities.

Today, hikers follow in these footsteps, not just seeking adventure, but a form of time travel—passing through landscapes that have shaped the destinies of nations and the stories of individuals. The journey from Petra to Wadi Rum via Wadi Araba is more than a physical endeavor; it is a spiritual odyssey echoing with the rhythm of Bedouin drums and the silence of the stars.

Parts of these hikes are trails of the Jordan Trail. The 650 km long hiking trail from the north to the south of Jordan.
